After the conclusion of the inspection, the inspector should quickly provide us with a house inspection report. This report will let us know what issues exist in the home and then we can determine what items we want to ask that the seller address. We can either ask the for a seller credit for repairs, which is effectively a price reduction, or that the seller fix the items of concern we noted from the inspection report themselves.

If you have ever experienced an NYC home inspection negotiation, you know things can go haywire quickly if any party involved doesn’t want to come to the table. In this video, we go over tips you can use to negotiate for repairs after the inspection to help ensure that we can continue on our “how to buy a home” journey without a major setback or lingering item of concern.
